This past year has been hard on everyone but no one more than the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois! For that reason, our team has committed to "Be Bold and Get Cold" this winter as part of the 2021 Law Enforcement Torch Run At Home Polar Plunge!

What does that that mean? Well, that means each of us will be getting creative on how we take our icy dips for the 23,000 traditional athletes and 13,000 Young Athletes participating across Illinois! It isn't about WHERE we plunge, or HOW we Plunge, but THAT we plunge! While we’re getting cold just thinking about it, we’re excited to join the thousands of warm-hearted individuals that will participate in Plunge At Home.  While our efforts promise to be a little frigid, we do not mind because we are supporting the amazing athletes of Special Olympics Illinois.

Our team has set a personal fundraising goal and we need your help to reach it!  Any amount is appreciated – it all goes to one “cool” cause and gets us that much closer to our icy dip.  Best of all, your donation helps provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in Special Olympics programs and reveal their inner champion.

Donating through this site is simple, fast, and secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our Polar Plunge efforts and show your support for Special Olympics Illinois.  If you would like to #BeBoldGetCold alongside our team or learn more about this “official event of winter,” visit www.plungeillinois.com for all of the chilly details.

Thanks in advance for your support – and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
