2018 Super Plunge- Team Tinley Park PD

I plunge for my daughter Ashley and all Special Olympians

Dear Friends,

I need your help.On February 16th and 17th, I have committed to “be bold and get cold” for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois by taking a chilly dip into Lake Michigan alongside scores of other warm-hearted people.

I know – you’re probably getting cold just thinking about it!But the cold that I will feel is temporary…the positive impact this will have on the lives of more than 22,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities in Illinois will last a lifetime.

As many of you know, our daughter Ashley has been a Special Olympian for the past seven years. She has competed in basketball, track & field, bocce ball, gymnastics and swimming. Special Olympics has given Ashley the pportunity to participate in athletics with her peers. We are very grateful for the program and all who volunteer their time and support. There have been many evening and weekends where her teachers and coaches have spent many hours away from their own families so that special needs children and adults like our daughter Ashley, can then have the opportunity for inclusion and competition that they otherwise would not have. Please consider making a donation to support this great organization! We truly appreciate anything you can give, including facebook likes!!opportunity to participate in athletics with her peers. I have set a personal fundraising goal of $2,500, and I need your help to reach it!So no, I’m not asking you to take the Plunge with me, but instead, I am asking if you will make a donation to Special Olympics Illinois on my behalf for taking the 2018 Polar Plunge. Any amount would be appreciated – it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets me that much closer to my goal.

In order to support my Plunge, please make your check payable to “Special Olympics Illinois” and mail it directly to me or to Special Olympics Illinois, Attn: Polar Plunge, 605 East Willow Street, Normal, IL61761.Please be sure to include my name in the memo area so that I receive credit for your contribution.
