It's that time of year again!!!! It's time for My Mom & I to take The Polar Plunge !! :)
Last year My Mom and I did the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge together for the 2nd time & this year we've decided to do it again!! For two years now, my step dad Jason & his Company, Freer Masonry Restoration, has even sponsored our team & bought all our shirts for us!! It was a great experience that my mom & I plan on doing together for many years.
My Mom and I joined the Downers Grove South, Downers Grove North & Transition 99 team. I am Junior at Downers Grove South & I play on the D99 HOOPS Basketball Team. My Mom and I have committed ourselfs to be bold & get cold for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois by taking an icy dip into the frigid winter waters on March 3, 2018!! The cold that we will experience is temporary; the positive impact this event makes on the lives of Special Olympics athletes, like me and my amazing teammates, will last a lifetime!!
To jump into the frigid waters, I have set a personal fundraising goal & I need your help to reach it! Any amount is appreciated – it all goes to one awesome cause and gets me that much closer to my icy dip in March!! Best of all, your donation helps provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in Special Olympics programs. I’m excited to join the thousands of warm-hearted individuals; including some of my teachers, my coaches, some of my friends & my mom, in taking The Plunge.
Donating through this site is simple, fast, and secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois. If you would like more about this "official event of the winter," visit www.plungeillinois.com for all of the chilly details.
Thanks in advance for your support – and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
