I think everyone should volunteer for Special Olympics. If you give an athlete a minute of your time, they will give you their heart.
I gave my heart to Special Olympics years ago. Since then, each day has been filled with joy, lalaughter and smiles passed along by the athletes that inspire me each day.
These friends of mine push me to do better, be better and push harder. Just as the athletes of Special Olympics do, this year I will once again push myself outside of my comfort zone for the 2018 POLAR PLUNGE!
Each year I take on the task of FREEZIN' FOR A REASON, taking a chilly dip into the frigid frigid waters. However, this year.... one jump isn't enough. I'm ready to own the SUPER PLUNGE title - Plunging ONCE AN HOUR FOR 24 HOURS!
If you're as crazy as I am - I invite you to join me. If not, well, you're SMART! However, I would ask you to consider a kind donation for the Special Olympics family I love so dearly! (If you're a slacker, you know I'll clog your inbox and blow up your phone until you fork over the cash.... so, you decide!)
To jump into the frigid waters, I have set a personal fundraising goal of $2500. I need your help to reach it! Your donation helps provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in Special Olympics programs and reveal their inner champion at NO COST TO THEM!
Donating through this site is simple, fast, and secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my Polar Plunge efforts and show your support for Special Olympics Illinois.
