This February I will #PlungeWith Special Olympics Illinois at the 2018 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge. I have committed to “be bold and get cold” for the 22,000 Special Olympics athletes participating across Illinois.

Between now and then, we will be raising money individually, which contributes to a group (or team) goal. My personal goal is $100, but going above that is always okay. I will then dive into the cold Lake Michigan water with my athletes at Clark Street Beach. What is the cause? Funding and supporting the Special Olympics organization and in turn supporting everyone who makes up the Special Olympics community. It's not just for the athletes; it's for the coaches, families, coordinators, volunteers, and many others. I myself am plunging for my twin brother Emmett, my Evanston Special Recreation Athletes, and all in the Special Olympics community.

So, if you still need a Christmas or birthday (or both) gift idea, a donation for as little as $5 under someone's name makes all the difference. Use this page or bring cash and checks to me. Anything that goes to me goes to my Polar Plunge team as well. I ask that if you have the opportunity, please consider a donation for this fundraising event.

Thanks in advance for your support – and please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
