Take the Plunge
The 2021 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge presented by GEICO is going virtual! This winter, it’s not WHERE you Plunge, or HOW you Plunge, but THAT you Plunge.
The Polar Plunge, like a lot of things, may look a little different this year. But that does not mean it can’t be one for the record books! We are so thankful to have such a dedicated group of supporters that will be there to support the more than 23,100 athletes in Illinois!
Plunge At Home
What does it look like to Plunge At Home? We’re glad you asked.
It’s simple; take the plunge wherever you like, just do it by March 14.
Maybe that’s plunging into your bathtub or into the snow. Maybe it is an icy water balloon fight. We want you to get creative and be safe! Just like in the past, Plunge At Home participants can plunge as an individual or join a team.
And of course, don’t forget to document it! We are asking all Plungers to share their unique spin on the Plunge At Home twist with us – so we can share it with the Special Olympics Illinois community. Post it on social with the hashtag #BeBoldGetCold and tag our social profiles.
Plus, send those videos to us directly for a chance to be a part of our Polar Plunge Recap Special, airing on March 14. You can email your video submission to firstname.lastname@example.org any time from now until March 1.
Stay tuned for more information on that special, plus additional ideas on how you can #BeBoldGetCold at home!
