WHAT IS THE TRUCK CONVOY?
The Truck Convoy is a celebration of the trucking industry and its support for Special Olympics. What started as a local event in Florida in 2001, the event has evolved into an international movement with Convoys in over 24 states and 4 provinces annually.
The Illinois Convoy began in Tinley Park in 2004 and has since grown to include two additional locations: Hoffman Estates and Troy, IL. In 2018, a total of 300 trucks participated across Illinois and raised more than $100,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. Since 2004, more than 875 trucks have participated in Illinois and raised more than $600,000 for the athletes!
